Blue Lake Ebarb (Noble), LA 71462

Blue Lake is said to be evil. Way too often I have seen $60,000 or more trucks get the motor blown-up, axles broken, tires busted, relationships tested, paychecks spent, and just about any man-made machine get stuck. It is not uncommon to need the services of a wrecker when a good friend can't help pull you out.

Recently, my friends and I went out there to have some fun. We were in my friend Shana's new Lexus ES 350. Stupidly, she deceided to drive along the bank to meet someone to get our clothes to change into. She ran over a root and pulled a something off of the front bumper of her car! She was sick! I couldn't help but to laugh.

I guess Blue Lake struck again. Despite the rough start, we still had fun. Everyone was safe and rode well into the night.

Who would have ever thought that mud could be so fun? Toledo Bend makes our world go round: from fishing and mudding, to keeping the lights on. I can honestly say that I am ready to go and play again. Tomorrow should be good!

The Pain to Recover

This summer I hurt my back. I have been ignoring the pain. Recently, the pain has gotten worse, so I have decided to find out what the problem is. Friday morning I went for a MRI. I did not know what I was in for. I was placed in a coffin-like device for an hour and fifteen minutes. This experience was not fun. As I lay there, I was thinking, "I sure hope they find the problem because, I’m miserable". There was constant roaring in the small tunnel I was laying in. It was the longest hour and fifteen minutes of my life.

It's behind you!!!

I recently looked around and received a wake-up call. I did not realize how fast my life moves. On a typical day; I handle task for our family business, do school work, and maintain our property. It is very demanding and challenging. At times, I wish that I could stay home and do as I pleased. But, I know that if I am not on a strict schedule, I will not get anything done. I have to stay busy at all times. My lifestyle leaves me out social scene sometimes. I feel that I am leaving behind some of my "friends" that aren't as self-driven. I want the best in life, and I know what it takes to get it. Occasionally, I get to enjoy the fruits of my labor. These instances are rare. My stress level may be high, but that keeps me rolling!

Yesterday was the day!

As I was getting dressed for church this morning, I realized that I failed to post my blog yesterday. That being said: I figured that I better do so a.s.a.p. My name is Zachery (Zach) Faircloth. I live in Zwolle, LA; about one hour south of Shreveport. This is the type of town where everyone knows you and your business. I have lived here all of my life with my entire family nearby. Every trip to town brings run-ins with someone that you know. It is a pleasant place to live; the people tend to be a little nosey.

This is my second semester at LSUS. I am a General Business major with a concentration in Human Resources. I am the first member in my immediate family to attend a four-year university. My father is in the Logging Industry. I have seen him work hard all of his life. He has provided well for his family but, it has been hard work. Seeing him live like this made me want an "easier" career. I am sure that I will have another successful semester if I stay committed. Besides this late post, it should be smooth sailing.
Good luck to everyone!
