I like the finer things in life. If I buy something expensive, it is because I like it.
Each holiday, I take time to decorate our home extensively. If we have a gathering or company, I want the home to be warm and inviting. Recently, I went to the store to buy Easter decorations. My total was $120.
I know this stuff is not necessary, but I am used to it. It's funny how I have become accustomed to certain things in life that are insignificant to me. I do not care if there are decorations or not, but I believe other people do. I'm thinking about saving the money insted. After a while, I should have a nice nest-egg.
I Try to save. But it doesn't always work for me. Good luck
ReplyDeleteI love to decorate too but I try to save money as well. I do not decorate for every occasion though. Not that I don't want to, I just don't have the time or energy. I have found that if you shop for decorations after the specified holiday you can get things for dirt cheap. My sister-in-law is the best at finding deals. Maybe you should try to start shopping after the holiday and you can save money and still get the decorations you want for the next years holiday.
ReplyDeleteI spend money on plants and my chickens.
ReplyDeleteAnd books.
